Team Members

Garth Whitaker is a senior Theatre major who puts his heart into everything he pursues. Garth cares about changing not only himself, but his community and their inhabitants for the better. He believes that precise communication and cohesive team work, executed in the right manner, can overcome any obstacle. He has held numerous leadership positions including the Choral Leadership Council and Captain of several Varsity teams including Cross country, Soccer, Bowling, and Track and Field. Nothing better shows the intensity of his passion than the various community service projects that he has been a part of like building wheelchair ramps for disabled veterans and landscaping projects through The Home Depot aimed at sprucing up the rougher parts of Cincinnati. Garth thrives on bringing the best out of the people he works with. Stanislavski puts it best saying you should always, “Love the art in yourself, not yourself in the art.”

Derek Evans is a passionate young actor with a drive for change and to make a difference. Among the various projects he has going on all at once his big heart for children sits at the top. "Children are the future and change begins there. If we want the world to be a better place we have to start at the heart of it. They need to know that they can make a difference too." And even after leaving college in debt he has not regretted his choice for higher education. It’s only propelled him into incredible action to get it paid off as soon as he can and however he can, from touring with The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati in the upcoming Fall to developing and designing an application for mobile devices. One of his favorite quotes is by Thomas Jefferson, “Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. ACT!”
