April 21, 2021 - The Haile/US Bank College of Business annually recognizes a handful of outstanding graduating students for their personal commitments to their classwork, the university and the surrounding communities. Awards are presented to the most outstanding students in each discipline of the College and the Overall Outstanding Haile/US Bank College of Business Undergraduate Student.
The Overall Outstanding Haile/US Bank College of Business Undergraduate Award is the highest student honor bestowed by the Haile/US Bank College of Business. In choosing the recipient, faculty nominate students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, leadership in extracurricular activities, and high potential for future leadership in the individual’s professional life, among other things. The 2020-21 recipient of this coveted award is Logan Fields.
Throughout Fields' collegiate careerm he has demonstrated academic success - being named to the President's Honor List or Dean's List several semesters. But Fields is more than just brains, he has proved leadership capabilities in activities, organizations and internships that challenged him outside of the classroom. Most notable is his involvement with the NKU Haile/US Bank College of Business's Center for Student Excellence, where he currently serves as the Lead Student Assistant. In this role he has taken on variety of projects ranging from being the project manager for the Connect Ahead program to assisting in the college's AACSB Accrediation process.
"Logan is one of the most dedicated and hard-working individuals." said Hayden Skinner-Fine, Academic Coordinator for the Center for Student Excellence. "He comes in every day with a positive attitude and never backs down from a challenge. He sets deadlines, that he keeps to, and asks about what follow-up work can be done once the project has been completed."
Skinner-Fine isn't the only one that's been blown away by Field's attitude and worth ethic. Field's worked as a Human Resources Assistant Intern with Amazon this past summer and was offered a full-time position after graduation before even finishing his internship with them.
