The Philosophers’ Café consists of a group of people from NKU (students, faculty, and staff) and the Greater Cincinnati community who meet to discuss fundamental philosophy-related issues in our contemporary world.
Past topics include Race and gender in the American justice system, Wikileaks, Hacktivism and the ethics of whistle-blowing, Moral Grammar, Gun Violence, The Nature of Information, The Meaning of Life, Moral Knowledge: How do we know right from wrong?, Why Should I Vote?, The Problem of Evil, Cosmopolitanism: Are we all citizens of the world?
Membership and attendance are free. Faculty may encourage their students to attend for extra credit.
