The purpose of the Women's Center is to promote
gender equity on campus and in the community.


Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (K-TAP)NKU's K-TAP program serves students who are receiving K-TAP funds from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. It provides support for single parents receiving K-TAP funds while earning a college degree. There's a quiet study area for K-TAP students. Students have the use of computers and a printer for academic work. Lunch is provided during weekly peer support meetings in the K-TAP lounge. The program also provides student employment for K-TAP recipients. Tutoring and other individualized services are available, as needed.


Adult Learners, Evening & Weekend Services...Advises adult students and others regarding evening and weekend program offerings.
Advocates the creation or strengthening of programs and services that are compatible with students' academic goals.
Staffs an evening hours office and assists program coordinators communicating with enrolled students.
Works with offices throughout the university to facilitate students achieving their enrollment goals including graduation.

Defense Task Force on Domestic Violence
Report
On March 9, the US Department of Defense Task Force on Domestic Violence released its first report and strategic plan. The 24-member Task Force was established last year with a three-year mission to formulate a long-term, strategic plan to eliminate domestic violence within the military. Users may read the full-text of the 118-page report at the Task Force site, which also offers additional information and related links.
