Dr. Delores M. Walters is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Philosophy as well as the Institute for Freedom Studies at
Northern Kentucky University. She teaches two experiential courses,
both focused on the Ohio-Kentucky Borderlands.

Prior to the joint position, at NKU & NURFC Dr. Walters directed the ALANA (African, Latin, Asian, Native American) Cultural Center at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. While at Colgate, she initiated a partnership with the
Madison County Freedom Trail Commission for students engaged in UGRR research.
