As Community Research Specialist for the Freedom Center during 2002-06,
Dr. Walters conducted a series of community training workshops for the nationwide network of affiliates called Freedom Stations. The training workshops demonstrated the use of basic anthropological and archival research methods in documenting family/local history research connected to the Underground Railroad.
