The performance program focuses on training students for professional work and for preparing them to pursue advanced study. Students may specialize through BFA degree programs in Acting or Musical Theatre. Each sequence strives to build a base of strong, useful technique; students are expected to experiment in main stage and studio productions and are actively encouraged to pursue professional work when possible. A wide range of courses stretch emerging performing artists, challenging them to find and fulfill their potential. Since this is an undergraduate program, students receive individual mentoring and attention from faculty and have frequent opportunities to work with guest artists active in the field.
