Academic Advising
Personalized academic advising is one of the benefits of being a participant of Student Support Services. Here's how it works:
- SSS scholars in good academic standing do not need to meet with an Academic Advising Resource Center (AARC) advisor.
- SSS scholars will be teamed up with a SSS Support Specialist, who will act as Academic Advisors until they declare a major.
- SSS Support Specialists have the advantage of knowing the individual needs of their students and can assist them in preparing their class schedules based on these needs.
- All SSS Specialists are certified Master Advisors through the Academic Advising Center
We understand the importance of advisor resources. Whether it is sharpening your knowledge of Northern Kentucky University's Advising Philosophy, checking something in the Academic Advising Handbook, calculating your GPA, or reviewing General Education requirements you can find it all at NKU's Academic Advising Resource Centers Academic Resources: Tools for Sucess.
