Some Sproat Stuff

My research interests have typically focused on animal behavior and ecology.  At my research site in eastern Kentucky, we often wake up in the morning to views like this (but without the people on the hill).

Want to learn more about it?  Check out the "Looking for research opportunities..." link above under Student Support Items.

I've always been interested in are birds of prey (raptors).  I think this image, "Peregrine Falcon in Flight" by Thomas D. Mangelsen, is especially good.

How fast can a Peregrine Falcon dive?
Well, the terminal velocity (the fastest speed of a free falling object) for a human being is about 187 mph.
