Scoring Guide for Class Presentations

Note that all presenters will receive the same grade. Be sure that all members of your group work equally hard in preparing the presentation.

1. Program Overview (10) (includes all major features - development, population, special features, technology, other - done briefly in oral presentation but included in paper, backed by research evaluations)

 

 

2. Correlation to POS (5)( (looks at all four areas of math POS, very complete analysis)

 

 

3. Open-Ended Problem (10) (good open-ended problem either selected from program or modified, includes POS and Core Content, actively involves class in solving problem a variety of ways given time constraints)

 

 

4. Sample solutions (12) (three or more good, creative, varied solutions, worked at the distinguished level)

 

 

5. Related Problems (6) (three or more good suggested related problems, good extensions)

 

 

6. Reference List (2) (print and electronic resources, uses APA format)

 

 

7. Quality of Presentation (5) (involves class, all presenters clearly involved, clear, good use of technology and visual aids)
