Training and Education for Research & Grants (CITI)

Research training is a federally mandated requirement for researchers involved with human subject, biosafety and animal research. NIH and NSF have also implemented required Responsible Conduct of Research training for researchers involved with approved grants as of January 2010. NKU utilizes a web-based site (CITI) designed to meet the  training requirements for all involved with research, including those of NIH and NSF.

COLLABORATIVE INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING INITIATIVE (CITI) TRAINING AND LINKS
Please note that researchers, faculty advisors and other researchers are required to take the CITI training. Also note that:

**NKU IRB requires 80% on each individual training module and CITI only requires 80% average on all modules.

**Be sure to pass each quiz with an 80% or higher.

Please read the instruction page located on this page or on the main menu of the CITI site. If you need to print scores that have been updated/changed or added by completing additional modules, enter via Optional Modules link located on the main menu page.
