I started teaching at NKU in 1987. I do hope that all my students can see that I take my teaching responsibilities seriously. I was selected as an outstanding educator of the class of 2013 by the Cincinnati Magazine.

My current teaching assignments are in the areas of database design and implementation and Enterprise Resource Planning using SAP. I have recently developed and currently teaching a class on data visualization. I am a student of all areas of information technology, and curious to know about new trends such as columnar and NOSQL databases, data visualization, big data management and predictive analytics.  I have volunteered to teach both managerial and technical classes to meet departmental needs.

I helped write the initial proposal to get the MBI program formally approved was its program director for seven years until the Fall of 2014 and greatly enjoyed the experience. I take pesonal interest in all of its graduates and current students. It brings me great satisfaction to see them succeed professionally and personally. I try to keep in touch with all of our alumni.  In the past, I have consulted with Fortune 100 companies in both database design and web applications development.

I also enjoy teaching mathematics to middle school students in my spare time. Over the years, I have trained a few students in math and realized that there is no greater satisfaction than seeing an eager young student realize her true potential.

I am passionate about photography (own a canon T1i), south indian classical music, live sound recording (recorded hundreds of musical concerts of famous classical musicians) and studying Sanskrit- an ancient indian language. I also have interest in learning new languages.
