Julie Kunselman
Dr. Julie C. Kunselman is a professor in the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at Northern Kentucky University. She served as chair of the department from 2007-2009. Prior to joining NKU in 2007, she was an assistant and associate dean, and associate professor in the College of Professional Studies at the University of West Florida. Julie earned her bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Gannon University, and a Master of Public Administration and Ph.D. in Urban and Public Affairs from the University of Louisville.
At NKU, Julie teaches primarily in the MPA and Organizational Leadership programs. Her classes include research methods, data analysis, public policy, law enforcement administration, organizational change and leadership in organizations. She has published over 25 articles in areas of leadership and administration, public policy, student engagement and pedagogy, as well as co-authored three textbooks: Research Methods in Criminal Justice, Statistical Analysis in Criminal Justice and Criminology: A User's Guide, and Juvenile Justice Today. She has also contributed to more than 20 monographs, grants, and community research partnerships.
