Linda Dolive
Dr. Linda Dolive, retired in May 2010 after 39 years of teaching in the department. In recognition for her service she was named Professor Emeritus. As a professor of Political Science, she received her B. A. from Stetson University and her M.A and Ph.D. from the University of Florida. She taught courses in comparative and international politics and comparative public administration.
She came to NKU in 1972 as a founding faculty member. She has served in many administrative positions including Director of the Women’s Studies Program; Chair of the Department of Political Science, and Interim Chair of the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice; Coordinator of the International Studies Program, the Japanese Studies Program, and the Middle East and North African Studies Program; and Associate Provost.
Her research interests included European politics, political corruption, comparative public policy, and e-government. She is the author of Electoral Politics at the Local Level in the German Federal Republic and numerous articles and book chapters. She has been an analyst for the German government and held visiting university appointments in Germany and Great Britain. She was a frequent presenter at international meetings including conferences held in Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, and South Africa. She has conducted field research in Germany, Ghana, Latvia, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, and Russia.
Linda plans to travel and enjoy time with friends and family.
