Transfer Students
Orientation for transfer students is a four hour program educating you on the many services that Northern Kentucky University has to offer. In addition to learning more about NKU, the transfer orientation answers questions you may have about college and ultimately, prepares you for what lies ahead.
New transfer orientation is optional for those who wish to attend a half-day Northern Exposure, New Student Orientation program highlighting academic and student support services.
Transfer students entering in the fall 2012 semester, will have the option to attend one of the the on-campus orientation programs or utilize SCOOP, the Student-Centered Online Orientation Program here. Information about the on-campus orientation programs and SCOOP will be sent out in the mail beginning in mid-May, 2012.
Advising and course registration takes place directly within the student’s major department. Advising and course registration is not included as part of the transfer student orientation program. If you have not yet registered for classes, please remember to contact your academic department directly based on where your major is housed.
