New Student Orientation Programs

Congratulations, and Welcome to the Northern Kentucky University community. The next stop to your academic journey is to be Exposed. That's right, attending Northern Exposure, the New Student Orientation program. As you begin to prepare for the transition to College, Northern has developed a comprehensive program to assist you in making a smooth and exciting transition. Orientation is an on-going process that begins when the student decides to attend Northern.

The mission of the Northern Kentucky University New Student Orientation program is to initiate an enduring connection between the students, their families and the NKU community. Through interactive experiences students will become informed and skilled learners of the academic programs and comprehensive services offered by NKU.

As you begin planning for your transition to college, we would like you to mark your calendars now to attend the New Student Orientation program. Orientation is required for all new traditional freshmen. This newly created program will allow you to make a connection earlier within your academic departments, register for classes and learn about the variety of services and leadership opportunities available to you as a student.
