RN to BSN Program in Nursing The bachelor's degree program provides career mobility for the registered nurse. A substantial background in the liberal arts is an integral part of preparation for professional nursing. The upper-division curriculum blends scientific and humanistic theories with nursing theories to provide graduates with a foundation for professional nursing practice. Graduates are prepared to practice in primary, secondary, and tertiary care settings and in a variety of roles. Through enhanced knowledge and skills, graduates are able to lead and influence colleagues and coworkers, provide patient-centered nursing care with a broader world-view The bachelor's degree program is designed to provide a foundation for higher degree programs in nursing. The curriculum was designed so that nurses who are working can complete the program while employed. The curriculum is offered in a traditional format on NKU's campus in 15 week semesters in classes with student-faculty ratios approximately 20-1. In response to requests from our regional healthcare community, the RN-BSN curriculum is offered in distance format as well. Graduates of the BSN program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) has earned full accreditation status from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. | ||||||
