I explore and develop math games and activities for elementary and middle school children. Two of the games I have developed are Pentetra's Puzzle and Poly-Cube-It. Both of these games use interlocking cubes.  Another game I designed is The Decimal Game.  I have developed materials for graduate math content courses for elementary and middle school teachers.  I speak at state, regional, and national conferences of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and regularly attend the Kentucky Section of the Mathematical Association of America meetings.

I like to read children's books, work at my wife's children's bookstore, The Blue Marble, in Ft. Thomas, KY and play chess. During the summer, I enjoy working at our farm in Vermont.
