A subset of 21 semester hours from the major comprises the Management Minor. The required courses in the minor focus primarily on the behavioral aspects of management, i.e., the study of why people behave the way they do in work organizations and how managers can behave to effectively influence others and achieve organizational goals. Department of Management and Marketing The minor in marketing consists of 21 semester hours (9 required, 12 elective). The required courses provide a general introduction to business organizations and their management (MGT 205), an overview of the Marketing function (MKT 305), and exposure to the scientific study of buyer behavior (MKT 320).
