Professional Interest:  My specialty is research in undergraduate mathematics education (RUME), a young area in mathematics education. My primary interests are diversity, equity, and social justice; multi-disciplinary science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, with emphasis on issues of access and opportunity; and the professional development of teachers at all levels, including college- level teachers. I try to thread these interests through all aspects of my work -- teaching, scholarship, service, and outreach.
