Mixed-up Brownie Delight

Virginia Prince of Grand Blanc

1 c. butter or margarine
4 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. chooped walnuts
1/2 c. white-chocolate chips
1/2 c. milk-chocolate chips
12 oz. caramels
1/8 c. smooth peanut butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate squares; remove from heat. Stir in sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Stir in flour and mix well. Pour half of mixture into a greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. While the brownies are baking, melt the caramels, peanut butter and evaporated milk. Stir frequently until melted. Remove brownies from oven and pour caramel mixture over top. Sprinkle chips and nuts over top. Pour remaining brownie mix over top and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting.
