WORD is the Department of Literature and Language's public newsletter and literary magazine. Published at least once a year, it contains articles of interest to faculty, current students, and alumni. These articles are usually on a featured topic, such as Literature and Religion or Literature, Race, and Gender. Copies of WORD are provided to departmental alumni, current majors, and area high schools. While the majority of the articles are written by faculty, students often serve as editorial assistants for WORD and do some of the writing as well.
