NKU Expressed (formerly Cameo) is NKU's student literary journal. All NKU students are invited to submit work to NKU Expressed. Please limit submissions to 1 short story (max. 15 pgs),5 poems or 1 one-act play (max. 15 pgs). All works must be typed and double spaced; poems must be typed one per page. Please includeyour name and telephone number. All accepted manuscripts are subject to minor editing. NKU Expressed does not accept responsibility for lost manuscripts. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • poems: up to 5 poems, each no longer than 75 lines, typed, one per page
  • fiction and drama: 250-6,200 words, typed, one act plays in conventional dramatic format
  • artwork: student works that reproduce well in black and white at approximately 4x5 inches. Please submit slides of your artwork. Originals under 11x17 may be submitted at your discretion.

Please include name, address, phone number, e-mail, and a brief biography with all submissions.
