Alternative Spring Break - Mexico
March 3-11, 2007
Several departments at NKU are working with the Underground Railroad Freedom Center to provide NKU students the opportunity to travel to Mazamitla or to Guadalajara, in Jalisco, Mexico, during the 2007 spring break.
Ten (10) students will be chosen to go to Mazamitla, Jalisco, to provide computer and English language training to local residents. Five will be chosen by Residential Life and five will be chosen by the Office of Latino Student Affairs.
Two to five students from a science field will be chosen by Dr. Miriam Kannan of the Department of Biological Sciences to travel to Guadalajara, Jalisco, to shadow a local doctor.
Students will live on campus at a local school and experience local customs. The cost for the trip will be minimal for students. If interested in this wonderful opportunity, please complete the following application:
