How We Can Help

For more information on any of these services, please contact Gail Messmer, the K-TAP Coordinator at (859) 572-5988 or messmerg1@nku.edu. Office Hours are Mon.-Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

  • Employment Opportunities are available on campus to help meet the work guidelines.
  • Case management services: Assisting the K-TAP student in coordinating with his/her K-TAP Case Manager, University staff, and/or other professionals involved with the student and/or his/her family. Examples include: work study supervisors, professors, academic advisors, mental health therapists, etc. Students can also be referred to other services within the community.
  • The case manager from DCBS office is on-site with the program once a month. Contact the K-TAP Coordinator for a schedule of dates/times.
  • Support groups are available to connect you to other K-TAP students.
  • Access to a confidential fax machine is also available for participants to fax paperwork to their DCBS office.
  • Holiday Help in December.

K-TAP program is funded by a
grant from the Cabinet for Health & Family Services.
