Plagiarism and the Consequences that Follow

Plagiarism is a serious act that can have consequences that the plagiarist may not be ready to accept for their behavior.  Using someone else’s information to advance in the academic classroom can cause serious damage to one’s academic career, and future.  If caught plagiarizing the punishment is harsh.  The punishment is normally left up to the instructor.  The instructor can decide to give the student a zero and turn them into the Dean of Students.  This behavior would be given a hearing and if found guilty the student could be ceased from the university, with a failing status.
