The most overwelming reasoning for keeping Pete
Rose out of the Hall of Fame
is the alligations that he bet on baseball. There have been many arguements to wether he actually did commit a crime. The rule that Major League Baseball alleged Pete broke was Rule 21, section D, betting on ball games. The evidence is the betting slips and and the check written to bookie Tommy Gioiosa. With this evidence Rose and, then commissionor, Bart Giamatti came to the agreement that banished Pete from the sport or any connection the the league. |
