The 2000 Olympic games have had direct effects on Sydney, Australia.  The Olympics are an event that most cities dream to have, but now that the games have begun, many local businesses and families are now realizing how much of an impact the Olympic games have on their every-day life.

    Many changes have occurred in the once peaceful city of Sydney, such as traffic jams, media personel at every corner (now out numbering the athletes), and thousands of spectators crowding the streets. The 2000 Olympics are the largest in the Olympic organization's history, and they continue to grow every year.
