The Future of Journalism

Some say it is the      But some are not so sure...
 

As the Executive Editor for 
and an aspiring journalist, it is rather obvious my interest in this subject.

I feel as though Journalism and Newspapers have a bright future on the web. Newspaper readership and circulation has dropped in recent years. Much of that drop is attributable to newspaper companies stubborn resistance to change and a failure to embrace new technology.

In an article from the Associated Press  that appeared on the Salon.com webpage, Intel Corporation Chairman Andy Grove admonished members of the newspaper industry to change their ways or risk extinction. In the article, he offers some tips to publishers and editors to help them change their antiquated ways.

Perhaps some of the major newspapers have taken that advice to heart. In the face of a dwindling audience, some online newspapers have changed their act, albeit begrudgingly. Some of the best online newspapers are linked below.
