Many people argue that drug testing
in the workplace is an unfair and discriminating practice. Opponents
feel that it is unnecessary for employers to force workers to take drug
tests especially if they are not suspicious of them abusing drugs.
Those who oppose drug testing also claim that it is unconstitutional to
harass employees about an issue that is not guaranteed to verify that they
are unproductive and/or a company hazard. Besides the ethical issues,
drug testing can be costly. |
