Dog-gone Crazy

Is your dog terrified of loud noises?

Does your dog bark or howl excessively?
Does your dog exhibit destructive behaviors?

If you answered "yes" to any of the questions above, your dog may be suffering from separation anxiety.

Separation anxiety is a form of anxiety originally caused by separation from a significant nurturant figure and that is duplicated later in life by usually sudden and involuntary exposure to novel and potentially threatening situations (Merriam-Webster Medical Dictionary, 2002). There are many forms of behavior associated with separation anxiety including fear of loud noises, barking problems, and destructive behaviors.
