Throughout history there has been a fight to eliminate some individual's perceptions of evil.  Crushing evil in one area means that it will usually manifest itself in another.  With the controls available on computer systems; you are able to eliminate the evils from your home and loved ones, without eliminating the views of others.
    On the other hand, not everyone is concerned with the well being of others.  Some people may put forth information that perpetuates hate and mistreatment of others. After all, shouldn't we watch out for one another, eliminating possible harm that may derive from such information.
