Northern Kentucky University’s reputation precedes itself – even as far away as Bulgaria.
When Tsvetoslava Karaivanova was trying to decide where to attend college in America, a friend and fellow Pleven, Bulgaria, native recommended NKU.
“Another international student from Bulgaria recommended NKU to me and helped me with the application paperwork,” says the 21-year-old.
She was off to NKU. Now, the Criminal Justice major and Legal Studies minor says she knows this is the place for her.
“I like the small class sizes and the variety of courses – both general education and major – that NKU offers,” she says. “Also, there are a lot of other international students here which helped me deal with the culture shock at first. It's always nice to know that you are not alone.”
