Foreign Education Evaluation Services

All applicants with university level course-work, either undergraduate or graduate, must have their transcripts evaluated course by course which also includes a grade-point-average equivalent by an approved Foreign Education Evaluation service.  This evaluation is an admission requirement for all transfer, post-baccalaureate, and graduate students, and it must be submitted to the Office of International Student Affairs along with original or certified copies of your foreign transcripts.

For Option 7 Candidates, transcript evaluations must be effectuated by a NACES certified organization: http://www.naces.org/members.htm
** Those using Josef Silny must also request a grade-point average equivalent.  

We recommend students research the evaluators' websites and determine which one suits their particular needs.  Students will need to fill out an application for the evaluation, attach their transcripts to it, and send it to one of the professional evaluation services listed above.  Be sure to state that you want a course by course evaluation and that you want a copy of the evaluation sent to Northern Kentucky University - Office of International Student Affairs.  Each evaluation service has its own application.  The application for the evaluation can be downloaded from their respective websites.

DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL TRANSCRIPTS.  Choose an evaluator who will accept certified or otherwise official copies.

Also, be sure to follow all the directions on the evaluation application in order to have it processed as quickly as possible.  Depending on the country, original transcripts may be required.  It may also be required that your transcripts be forwarded to the evaluation service directly from your university.
