 I graduated from the University of Arkansas with Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2006. My Ph.D. advisor is Dr. Brajendra Panda.

 In August 2007, I joined the Department of Computer Science at Northern Kentucky University as a faculty member.

My research concentrates on Information Assurance, Database Systems, Data Security (e.g., intrusion detection, database damage assessment and recovery), Data Mining, and Trust Management in Cyberspace.

Recent Research Grants:

  • KY NSF EPSCoR Grant, amount funded: $26,399
    This proposed research concentrates on studying new methodology for identifying information attacks against database.
  • DEPSCoR Grant (sub-award from University of Arkansas), amount funded: $35,071
    The main task of this research is to design algorithms that can effectively alert the system administrators of anomalous activities of insiders in order to protect critical data of an organization.
  • CINSAM Research Grant, amount funded: $8,000
    This research focuses on studying new methodology for fast damage assessment after identification of a malicious transaction in a post-information-warfare scenario.
  • NKU Faculty Summer Fellowship, amount funded: $6,000
    This research will develop new methods for detecting well-hidden attacks toward corrupting data.
