SCHEDULE OF TOPICS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Dates in ALL CAPS refer to class sessions, which are on Thursdays at 6:15, and are noted either required or optional. The other dates refer to the televised programs, which are on KET (channel 54) on Saturdays from 1:00 until 2:00, beginning September 4. Note that there are 2 half-hour programs each week, so you need to watch for the full hour. The programs will also be broadcast on KET and NKU cable at other times. For reading assignments, you will need to follow the Study Guide week by week for the assignments. Note that the assignments in Haviland are NOT keyed chapter by chapter to the telecourse, so you'll have to check for the appropriate Haviland assignment in the Study Guide. Notice also that there are generally two programs and two chapters in the Study Guide per week.

You are not required, but are encouraged, to bring to class the kinship project you have been working on. It does not have to be perfect at this point, but the interview should be complete and the data laid out in three columns. Plan to spend some time after the test working on this in class. I will also give you the remainder of the assignment, which will make more sense if you have your data with you.
