critters, harvest.

i went up to the garden briefly. i harvested a bunch of beans- all sorts. and 2 cukes. and 2 banana peppers.
while there, two rabbits ran out of our patch.
i think deer continue to walk through our garden.
how much rain have we had? should we water?
i am on the lookout for the soil test.
our tomatoes seem sad.
maybe i am projecting my emotions onto tomatoes.

I haven't told my garden yet --
Lest that should conquer me.
I haven't quite the strength now
To break it to the Bee --

I will not name it in the street
For shops would stare at me --
That one so shy -- so ignorant
Should have the face to die.

The hillsides must not know it --
Where I have rambled so --
Nor tell the loving forests
The day that I shall go --

Nor lisp it at the table --
Nor heedless by the way
Hint that within the Riddle
One will walk today --

Hanging garden

Got some more pics. These are of the squash and melons in our vertical gardening experiment. I gotta say, so far they're holding up pretty well. No pun intended.

One of the four pumpkins currently growing on our vine.
