on saturday, despite the rainy weather, i stopped by to turn the compost. It was really heavy. I added some more coffee grounds that I got from starbucks (some locations give away used coffee grounds in plastic milk jugs) and then put the remainder on the garden. The transplanted herbs aren't looking so hot. Gathered about a dozen ripening banana peppers. I went shopping and found at a independent produce store in anderson twp., ohio (Discount Produce) some of the largest red bell peppers i have ever seen. I will save the seed.
i'll have more time for the garden next week.
