Scholarship Application
The application process for 2008-09 Winter/Spring Honors Scholarships is now open. This is for the Presidential/Zalla Fellowship only.
Be sure to fill out the form and send it to Belle Zembrodt by Monday, December 1st.
The next round of scholarships will be announced early next year.
Your opportunities
The Honors Program has several scholarship opportunities for interested and qualified students who are in good standing in the Honors Program and have completed at least one Honors (HNR) course.
Albright Scholarship
- Completed 60 credit hours but not more than 90.
- Completed at least two Honors courses.
- Grade-point average of 3.7 or above.
- Submit a piece of research or an essay completed for an Honors course.
Federated Department Stores Scholarship
- Be a declared major or pre-major in the College of Business.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 semester hours.
- Have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5.
- Completed at least three HNR courses.
- Completed a minimum of 36 semester hours.
Sencorp Scholarship
- Be a declared major or pre-major in the College of Business.
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours.
- Have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5.
- Completed two HNR courses.
- Completed a minimum of 24 hours.
Castellini Honors Scholarship for Business Majors
- Be a declared major or pre-major in the College of Business.
- Enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours.
- Have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5.
- Completed HNR 101 in fall 05.
Presidential/Zalla Fellowships
- Have completed at least two Honors courses or be enrolled in your second one this semester.
- Explain what research, independent project or travel you are proposing.
Storer Scholarship for continuing Honors students in good standing
- Apply for the Storer with your regular financial aid package through the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
Applying for scholarships
- An e-mail will be sent out at the beginning of each spring semester with information about the application process.
- To apply for any of the scholarships, complete the scholarship application and send it to Belle Zembrodt.
- Arrange for a letter of recommendation to be sent to Belle.
- Note that if you are applying for more than one scholarship, you must submit individual applications for each.
- A condition of any of the awards is that you will be asked to make short presentations about your Honors studies at Honors events in the upcoming year.
- Please call or stop in at the Honors Office if we can help you with your application or eligibility.
- Students must have a current FAFSA on file to receive scholarships.
- All applications are due in the Honors House by Feb. 1.
