Departmental Honors courses

  • The Honors Program offers a wide range of courses in conjunction with many departments and colleges across campus. 
  • These courses have their own departmental designation.
  • These sections have the same enrollment of 15 students and focus on discussion as regular Honors courses.
  • Unlike honors courses with the HNR designation, departmental honors courses can be taken by anyone meeting the ACT or SAT requirements for admission. 
  • While these courses generally count toward general education requirements, up to two of them can count toward the Honors minor as well.
