What our students are saying

Karen Simmons, International Business Honors Fellow:

"IBHF has changed my world because it has broadened my horizons. Not only have I made friends with common interests; I have made friends with people across the world. The International Honors Business Fellows has given me an opportunity to learn and study the international aspect of many business topics. It's a great program and a great experience!"

Jenna Torres, math major:

"Traveling to Mexico had quite an impact on me – just being in a different environment outside my comfort zone, seeing how people live and seeing the beauty of nature in 'real' Mexico. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to experience firsthand the customs and everyday life of a different culture. I found it very enriching.

"Also, in The World of Coffee, we learned about and discussed the amount of work that goes into producing a bag of coffee, but I didn’t fully understand until I saw the coffee plantation. I saw the amount of coffee plants and realized they handpick all of the coffee beans and realized how much we take it for granted. Now I understand the importance of supporting small farmers and purchasing fair-trade products."

Christian Grau, business double major in finance and economics:

“By being part of the NKU Honors Program, I have had opportunities I never expected – like research projects, study-abroad opportunities and classes in Asian film.  NKU’s Honors Program provides students with seminar-style classes that offer students a forum for discussion and debate.”
