The Honors Program offers a wide range of courses in conjunction with many departments and colleges across campus. These courses have their own departmental designation but are honors sections with the same enrollment of 15 students and focus on discussion as regular Honors courses.
Why we're here
The mission of the NKU Honors Program is to form a community of academically curious students, to challenge them in a variety of interdisciplinary topics, and to support experiences that will broaden their education. The NKU Honors Program networks with departments across campus and throughout the Greater Cincinnati Area to offer a wide array of opportunities to our students. The NKU Honors Program specifically promotes and encourages international experiences to meet the current and future needs of engaged world citizens.
Among the benefits:
- The Honors minor (21 credits including a six-credit capstone project or thesis).
- Honors partnerships with colleges and embedded honors majors (simultaneous major and Honors courses).
- Honors sections of general education and other disciplinary courses.
- The Honors House and co-curricular activities (including international study and scholarships).
- The Honors Wing of Callahan Hall (Honors residential wing with in-house courses).
