Perspectives in History
Perspectives in History is a scholarly journal published by NKU students who are members of Alpha Beta Phi, a chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta international history honor society.
The purpose of the journal is to further the goal of Phi Alpha Theta in promoting the study of history. The editors are undergraduate students elected by the members of the chapter.
A majority of the papers published are the research of NKU students. The student editors and the faculty advisor request submissions and select book reviews, essays and research papers for publication based on scholarly merit and overall literary merit.
In national Phi Alpha Theta competition, Perspectives in History won the Gerald D. Nash Student History Journal Award in 1995, 1998 and 2000, and was runner-up in 1996, 1999 and 2001.
