Social Studies Secondary Education Certification
The Social Studies Secondary Education Certification program prepares students to acquire teacher certification for grades 8-12.

Each semester, students will meet with a history advisor and an education advisor until they fulfill their Teacher Education Contract.
To complete degree requirements, students must satisfy social studies, education and general education requirements. An overall GPA of 2.50 is required to enter and stay in the program.
The content course work in social studies includes the following 57 hours of classes:
History classes (27 hours)
