Public History Program

History majors often wonder what they can do with their degree other than teach in a traditional classroom. Public history courses offered at Northern Kentucky University give those students a new direction to take with their careers.

Public historians are trained to explain past human behavior in a variety of different contexts. It is history that is seen through:

• Books and articles
• Documentaries
• Audio-visual presentations
