MAPH Admission Requirements
Students DO NOT have to take the GRE to be admitted to the Master of Arts in Public History program.
To be considered for admission, you will need the following:
- Application for admission from NKU Graduate Studies.
- Bachelor degree in history or related field from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum undergraduate GPA
of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate work.
- Two letters of reference from persons qualified to evaluate your potential for successful performance in the graduate
program. A recommendation form from the Graduate Programs website must accompany each letter.
- Letter of intent between 500 and 1,000 words that describes any relevant educational background, experience and skills while also explaining your interest in public history. The letter of intent will help us judge whether the MAPH program is appropriate to your needs.
