Geo 303: Economic Geography


The study of economic geography involves an explanation of interrelationships that explain why various types of economic activity locate or do business where they do. Aspects of economic patterns and distributions will be examined to give meaning as to why different types of economic activity locate where they do. The class will examine aspects of globalization, nature of multi-national corporations, characteristics of the developed and developing regions, retail location, market studies, and characteristics of trade areas.
