Geo 103: Geography of the Third World

We shall explore the subject from a regional, thematic, and site-specific point of view. This being a geography class, we shall examine specific patterns and distributions of location to better understand and explain why this characteristic of economic development exists. Various characteristics that define this region will be investigated as well as opportunities and constraints that define its mobility. Specific regional and global interrelationships will be assessed in an effort to explain why specific nations and regions are considered as part of the Third World.
