Google App Inventor

App Inventor is a highly intuitive tool that makes it easy for anyone including non-programmers, kids and adults, to create mobile applications for Android devices.

This tool was originally developed by Google and now it's an open source tool and is maintained by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  It uses a graphical interface that allows users to drag-and-drop visual objects to create an application that can run on the Android devices. The workshop will introduce App Inventor software to high school teachers and demonstrate how to develop mobile apps to engage students. You can see success stories about teaching App Inventor here and here.

Please bring any ideas you have for mobile applications and we will help you bring your ideas to life on an Android device.

Development Is Simple!

App Inventor is very easy to use. It takes very little time to create your first App Inventor app. The simple drag and drop interface through a web browser allows apps to be created in just one minute. See how simple it is below.
