Get Pixeled Student Philanthropy Project

What is Get Pixeled?

Get Pixeled is a unique student philanthropy initiative at NKU, which will be used by students to fund non-profit organizations in our community. Donate a dollar (or more if you want), and get your image added to the grid at right.

Do Good, Have Fun

While our individual resources may be limited, our combined resources can make an enormous impact. If each NKU student were to Get Pixeled, we would raise nearly $15,000. That's enough money to do some real good in our community. With the support of faculty and staff, we'll raise even more! Members of our local community are encouraged to give to the Get Pixeled fund.

How can I help?

First, stop by these locations to Get Pixeled. You can do it as many times as you'd like.

Who Helped?

The Scripps Howard Foundation graciously donated $10,000 to jumpstart Get Pixeled. It is the corporate foundation of the E.W. Scripps Company, the company that owned and operated The Kentucky Post and The Cincinnati Post. The Foundation also is a major supporter of the Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement here on the NKU campus.

The College of Informatics, home to exciting technology-based programs of study, designed and built the technology for both this Get Pixeled project and the 2008 Presidential Mock Election.

Promotional support for Get Pixeled is being supplied by WNKU, and Apple graciously provided the computers used in the booths.
